Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder caused by environmental
and genetic factors. Manifestation of PTSD can be highly variable; thus, efforts have
focused on identifying subgroups of the disorder. Much of this work involves categorizing
symptoms of PTSD in combination with personality traits and trauma types. Analysis
of “omics” data thus provides a unique opportunity to identify molecular subgroups
of PTSD.
