On behalf of the Executive Council and the Program Committee, we are delighted to
welcome you to Toronto for the 2015 annual meeting of the Society of Biological Psychiatry.
This year, the theme of the program is: Stress, Emotion, Neurodevelopment and Psychopathology. Translational research has been the primary focus of previous years’ meetings. However,
this year we decided to bring that focus to bear on a more specific range of topics.
The reason for doing so is that this both highlights an important domain of interdisciplinary
research, but also allows us to explore in greater depth the richness of translational
science. In this way, we honor the impact of basic, translational and clinical research,
as well as the critical interplay between them.
