In the recent article by
Parsey et al 2006
, entitled, “Acute Occupancy of Brain Serotonin Transporter by Sertraline as Measured
by [11C]DASB and Positron Emission Tomography,” there was an important error in the description
of our method of reference region selection for our [11C]DASB positron emission tomography (PET) occupancy studies (
Meyer et al 2001
,
Meyer et al 2004
). These original [11C]DASB PET occupancy studies assessed serotonin transporter (5-HTT) occupancy at many
different doses for five different selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (enrolling
77 subjects). As these original studies are being used as a standard reference for
future antidepressant development, we felt it was important that our technique be
