Abstract
In a sample of 13 endogenous depressive inpatients, REM (rapid eye movement) latency
(recorded over 4 consecutive nights after 2 habituation nights) and contingent negative
variation amplitude showed significant relationship, suggesting that both parameters
may depend on the same mechanisms, possibly cholinergic.
